travel europe italy liguria the cinque terre riomaggiore

Riomaggiore is one of the five Cinque Terre hill towns.
It is built on both sides of a canyon that runs down to the sea.
The main street runs all the way down to the sea where it ends in a picturesque harbor that serves both boats and swimmers.
Small, colorful, fishing boats are pulled up into the street adding to the character and charm.
Walking up hill along the main street is enjoyable, but the waterfront is the real draw.
If you follow the alleyway on the south side of the main street up around the bluff by the sea,
you will come to a secluded but well used rocky beach.
